# Before you collect your keys

We suggest getting in touch 3 to 6 months before you collect your keys. That gives enough time to plan properly, so work can start soon after handover instead of months later.

## Why start before you have the keys

-   Planning takes time. A first layout, a moodboard, revisions, 3D drawings and a full quotation each need a round of discussion with you.
-   Your floor plan is enough to begin. We do not need to be inside the unit to start on the first layout.
-   When the design and quotation are settled before handover, work can begin sooner and you move in sooner.

## What to prepare

-   Your floor plan from the developer or sales gallery.
-   Your expected key collection date.
-   Who will live there, and the daily habits that matter to you: cooking, working from home, children, things you collect.
