# What interior design costs in JB, and how we charge

Every home is different, so we do not publish a price list. What we can tell you is exactly when you get a quote, and when you pay.

We only charge the design fee after you have confirmed the floor plan.

Until then, the first layout, moodboard and preliminary quote are part of getting to know your project. [See all five steps](/process/#fee)

## When you get a quote

    ### After the first layout (step 2)
    
    A preliminary quote, based on the first space plan.

    ### After the final 3D design (step 4)
    
    A complete quotation, based on the final version you approved.

    ### Before work starts (step 5)
    
    Materials, design and final price are all confirmed by you first.
    

## What changes the price

To be added: the main things that move the price of a project (for example size, materials, built-in carpentry, wet works). We will fill this in with the client.
